Edinburgh Festivals, August 2017

Edinburgh gets very busy in August with Festival events attracting tens of thousands of visitors.

Driving in the City centre is not recommended - please consider using public transport options if possible. Scotrail have laid on extra train services and there are a number of Park & Ride sites that are well served by regular buses.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo takes place between 4th and 26th August with road closures each evening to accommodate coaches and pedestrian traffic. In particular, note that Chambers Street is closed 6pm - 11pm on weeknights and 5pm to 1am on Saturday nights.

You can find roadworks and general travel news from Edintravel on Twitter and Traffic Scotland have plenty of information on their website.
